There is a gaping era in the history of Japanese jewelry: the Edo period.
There are various reasons given for this, including the fact that hair ornaments such as kanzashi were the main type of jewelry, and that Japan's isolation from the rest of the world made it difficult for foreign jewelry culture to enter the country.
What if people in Edo wore jewelry?
This collection was born from such a fantasy.
Pearls and coral that evoke a Japanese aesthetic, and delicate handiwork by artisans in Okachimachi.
Be sure to check out this special souvenir that evokes the atmosphere of Edo.
